Every quarter, Sixta commissions or licenses artwork from a new artist, and builds its identity around it.
Our choice to do this is not just cosmetic, but a proud recognition of the part humans have to play in resolving problems. A reasoning model on its own is a powerful material, but it’s only as valuable as the hand that controls it. We believe this is as true of works of art as it is of a production database. The value is in the experience to know where to point it, the skill to keep it under control and the judgement to know when to stop.

Meticulously painted from digital photographs, each brushstroke is rendered through a near-pixel-level study of the subject. Working at such close range, the whole image is revealed only at the end of a session. Harmony is not conceived globally; instead, it emerges through a faithful translation of additive light on screen into the subtractive light of paint.
Emily lives and works in Kent. She spent time painting at Camberwell College of Arts and is now studying Global Politics at Canterbury, another of her passions. Her close, meticulous, almost pixel-led studies of the human body reveal the concealed yet instinctively understood fragility of human experience. She is interested in the archaeology of the body and the histories it carries.
